How NYX Works

NYX Aether is a baseball-intelligence platform built entirely on free, public data. We publish a model's read on each game — and we show our work, including when we're wrong.

NYX is not a betting site

We don't sell picks, post lines, or tell you what to play. Our numbers are model probabilities and projections — an analyst's read, not gambling advice.

Predictions are probabilities, not guarantees

A 62% pick means the model expects that side to win about three times in five — not that it's certain. Baseball is high-variance; even strong reads lose often.

We explain our misses

Every final game gets a Prediction Review: did the pick land, which pre-game factors helped or backfired, and how surprising the result was. We grade ourselves in plain language.

Confidence and freshness matter

Reads are stronger with confirmed lineups and recent data, and weaker early in the season or when information is missing. We show how fresh each read is and gate thin-data sections honestly.

Transparency first

All of this is built from public MLB and Statcast data, free to read, in four languages. Where a number comes from, you can trace — and where the model is still learning, we say so.
